OPAL Branching Out

Branching Out supports older adults who have become socially isolated, may have lost confidence in social situations, or find it daunting walking into a group for the first time on their own.

OPAL provides a supported, welcoming space where they can meet others and over time learn about other groups and clubs in the area that they may consider joining.

Our ‘buddy’ volunteers not only support the Branching Out sessions but will also accompany a member to a group/club they are interested in so that they are not on their own.

The aim is that over time members will join other groups and clubs in order to branch back out into their local community.

Branching Out runs fortnightly in the following locations;

Helsby – Mondays from 1.30pm to 3.30pm

Frodsham – Tuesdays from 2.30pm to 4.30pm

Ashton Hayes – Wednesdays from 10.30am to 12.30pm

Farndon – Fridays from 10.30am to 12.30pm
