During the coronavirus crisis, technology is more important than ever in helping people stay in touch and OPAL has introduced a new, telephone-based support service for the over 60’s in rural West Cheshire.
Our GoOnLine volunteers have adapted to provide support to anyone over 60 in rural West Cheshire who is in isolation and having difficulties getting the best out of their phone, laptop or tablet.
Our remote GoOnLine service flourishes, with individuals being helped in many different ways – some through on line platforms such as Skype/FaceTime/Zoom, or simply by phone. New members are welcome to join us as more than ever during this time the use of technology has become a lifeline for many.
