GoOnLine is a drop-in service which helps older people in rural areas, including OPAL Club members, to learn how to access the internet, with one-to-one support of volunteers. The service aims to foster use of the internet to pursue peoples’ personal interests. The sessions are run in sociable settings in local venues.
Our GoOnLine drop-in sessions will be held in the following venues :
Oakmere: The Lounge, Chester Road CW8 2HB.
The service runs on Tuesdays and the sessions run from 10am to 12 midday. The next sessions will be held on June 27, July 11 and 25.
Frodsham: The Queens Head, 92 Main Street, WA6 7AR.
The service runs on Mondays and the sessions run from 10.30am to 12.30pm. The next sessions will be held on July 3 and 17.
Crowton: Hare and Hounds, Station Road, Crowton CW8 2RN
The service runs on Tuesdays and the sessions run from 10 am to 12 midday. The next sessions will be held on July 4 and 18.
Cotebrook: Alvanley Arms, Cotebrook, Nr Tarporley CW6 9DS
The service runs on Thursdays and the sessions run from 10 am to 12 midday. The next sessions will be held on July 6 and 20.
Farndon: Lewis’ of Farndon Coffee Shop, High Street, Farndon CH3 6PU.
The service runs on Thursdays and the sessions run from 9.30 am to 1130am. The next session will be held on July 27.

In addition to our usual drop-in sessions, we are pleased to announce that we will be offering focussed information sessions throughout the year on Comparing Utility Costs/Collective Switching, Accessing Health Care and Carers GoOnLine. These sessions will be available in Tattenhall and Frodsham.
During August & September we will be holding the following sessions:
Wednesday 9 August from 1pm to 3pm at Frodsham Community Centre, Fluin Lane, Frodsham WA6 7QN.
Wednesday 23 August from 10am to 12 noon at Carriages, New Russia Hall, Chester Road, Gatesheath, Chester CH3 9AH.
These sessions are provided to help Carers use computers, tablets and mobile phones. Entertainment is provided for the person you care for.
Comparing Utility Costs / Collective Switching
Wednesday 6 September from 10am – 12 noon at Frodsham Community Centre, Fluin Lane, Frodsham WA6 7QN.
For Carers a session will also be held on Wednesday 20 September from 1pm – 3pm at Frodsham Community Centre, Fluin Lane, Frodsham WA6 7QN.
These sessions focus on comparing utility costs / switching energy providers and collective switching.
